Mississippi Power & Light Leatherwood Energy StationAs is typical in the industrial markets this project needed to be constructed on a fast track schedule. The scope required turnkey installation of both large and small diameter shaft foundations along with numerous spread footing designs, all within close proximity of other subcontractors and electrical distribution towers. Given that the site was at a remote area and roads were still undeveloped, GROUP elected to use our track mounted LoDril. This equipment allowed us to continue work after torrential rains, which kept down time to a minimum. As mobilization was taking place, GROUP began prefabrication of many forms, which allowed for consistent and high production rates. Even though some drilling required the use of environmentally safe drilling fluids, excellent planning helped maintain schedule. Thanks to efficient supervision and hard working crews, GROUP was able to complete placement of over 2,000 cubic yards of concrete without incident or error in under the scheduled time. Leatherwood Energy Station $ 760,250
