Meet Justin Vicknair, Our Project Superintendent!

July 18, 2019

As a member of our GROUP Contractors team since 2002, Justin Vicknair serves as a Project Superintendent, where he has proven significant in helping things run smoothly on-site. He manages workflow schedules and oversees his project team, all while keeping safety at the forefront of every task. We couldn’t be more proud to have Justin as a member of our GROUP! Read on below to learn a little bit more about Justin and what he enjoys about his position with us.

Hometown: Maurepas, LA

What attracted you to GROUP? When GROUP says, “safety first,” they mean it, as there is support all the way up to the owner when it comes to performing your job safely. Anyone has the ability to stop along the way in order to ensure the procedure is being done safely.

What excites you most about your role with GROUP? I am in a position that allows me to train younger craft professionals and teach them my trade while making sure I teach in the right way. Also, GROUP allows me to do my job and execute my plan for the site I’m working on. This allows me to perform my craft both in a timely manner and with safety always coming first.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received? Always, always, always create a plan for your work, and work that plan.

When not working, how do you like to spend your time? I love being with my wife and kids, as we do everything together from hunting and fishing to performing jobs around the house. Life is too short not to enjoy every chance you get with family!
