Last week, GROUP Contractors’ President, Shane Kirkpatrick, visited with Louisiana representatives in Washington D.C. at the Associated General Contractors National Leadership Conference to discuss items affecting the construction industry in the state of Louisiana.

Representatives in attendance included Louisiana U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, Congressman Garret Graves, and Congressman Mike Johnson.

Items discussed included:

• Staying ahead of political policies
• Supply chain disruptions
• Supporting team members, mentally and physically
• Industry innovation
• Workforce engagement strategies

Shane Kirkpatrick currently serves as Senior Vice President for Associated General Contractors (AGC) and will serve as President of AGC in 2023.
