GROUP Contractors Introduces Safety Ambassador Program and Bolsters Job Safety Analysis Protocol

March 1, 2021

Safety Remains Our #1 Priority

GROUP is furthering safety initiatives with the implementation of the Safety Ambassador program designed to further increase safety measures and reduce job-related injuries. Workforce volunteers are being recruited to serve as safety ambassadors to aid lesser-experienced individuals in learning more about the safety culture that GROUP Contractors has established.

Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is a tool used by all GROUP Contractors employees to increase the awareness of safety, quality and productivity of any job. This process involves planning out all steps of a job before work begins, analyzing and identifying any possible hazards or risks associated with the tasks at hand. Once potential hazards have been identified, GROUP’s team will implement preventative measures to eliminate those risks.

Job Safety Analysis is designed to:

  • Reduce job-related injuries.
  • Increase employee safety awareness.
  • Promote positive behavioral changes.
  • Serve as written instruction for the work crew.
  • Aid in compliance with the Process Safety Management (PSM) standard.
  • Aid in organization and planning before work begins.

Any job with any conceivable hazards or risk of injury will require a JSA form to be completed before work begins and shall be signed by all employees and supervisors.
