GROUP was contracted by Dow to complete a massive 15,000 SF pre-engineered metal MCC (Motor Control Center) building ahead of its liquidated damages deadline despite material delays, problematic site constraints and extraordinary concrete finishing requirements.
The structure was necessary to complete the chemical giant’s $2B MET Solution Technology Polyethylene Production facilities as a part of their Gulfstream expansion program. GROUP Contractors’ work on the Dow Chemical Polyethylene 6 MCC Building project won an Eagle Award at the ABC National Excellence in Construction Awards.
- 15,000 SF Building Construction
- 800+ cubic yards of concrete for a monolithic pour foundation
- Super flat and level slab specified at FF of 45 in. and FL of 35 in.
- Pre-engineered building with Kingspan sandwich panels
- Poured-in-place footings
This project has been one of our smoothest endeavors in the EPC construction field. All RFQs were either acknowledged, forwarded or answered in a timely manner, and GROUP always advocated for its subcontractors. No field issue was ever too small for their prompt attention.
